..."Recognizes employee accomplishments during staff meetings regarding organizational goals.  Recoginizes each employee during Medical Records Week.  Encourages and allows employees to attend seminars and also encourages emloyees to continue their education for professional growth and development. It is important to note that Ms. Smith was nominated for the President's Award for Mentoring Women and recognized by the University of Texas Committee Status of Women.

Assists employees with problem solving skills by meeting with them and allowing them to work on problems, develop action plans, and evaluate the problems. She provides feedback and mentoring to all her employees.  She is often requested to help other people problem solve.  She involves the department in decision making and problem solving activities related to our department.

Consistantly demonstrates a professional attitude with her staff and other staff at the hospital.  Other staff are always complimentary on her professionalism.  She has a calming affect about her.  She listens, she smiles and speaks to everyone she meets.  She encourages customer service with our department on a constant bases by role modeling.

We have a diverse group of employees in our department.  She is also known for hiring people with special needs in our department.  We have two employees in our department with special needs and they talk about how they enjoy working with her, and with the department.

Ms. Smith has mentored several individuals with special limitations through a special work program at HCPC.  The department has created a work environment for them to work and excel in life.

Ms. Smith is a great role model with a compassionalte desire to help peoople succeed in life.  She has a vey important role in ensuring that patient's privacy is respected aa well as confidential.  She treats each employee with dignity and respect.  We often hear compliments by staff and managers on her work ethics and professionalism.  She cares abouth the staff and the organization.  Her role of compliance officer validates her as a manager of integrity at HCPC.  I feel confident in stating that she is highly recognized as one of the most graceful and professional managers at HCPC."
